Our Facilities

Schwartz Building - Home of the SafetyNET-Rx Lab

The research component of SafetyNET-Rx is supported by facilities at Dalhousie University and St. Francis Xavier University. Facilities include office space at Dalhousie University and St. Francis Xavier University for student researchers.

Housed in the brand new Gerald Schwartz School of Business building, St. Francis Xavier University, the SafetyNET-Rx lab is a state-of-the-art research facility dedicated to the study of medication incidents in community pharmacies.

This Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) funded research lab is equipped with 12 iMac computers, two Dell Power Edge 2900 servers for webpage and data support, and a number of tablet computers for field-based interviews. Specialized research software in the lab allow for the extensive analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data from the project. Software packages include SPSS, SPSS Text Analysis for Surveys, SPSS AMOS, QSR NVivo 8, Dragon Naturally Speaking, and Visual PLS.
